CNM Instructor Named EMS Educator of the Year
Aug. 1, 2013 -- Kathy Kaestner, full-time Emergency Medical Services faculty and clinical coordinator at CNM, was named Emergency Medical Services Educator of the Year at the EMS State Conference on July 26 at the Hotel Cascada in Albuquerque.

February 11, 2014 -- Ten CNM students were recently among those named to the Phi Theta Kappa New Mexico All-State Academic Team and will each receive a $15,000 scholarship. They were recently honored at the New Mexico Legislature.

Students Organize Toy and Winter Coat Drive
CNM's Executive Council of Students is conducting a toy and winter coat donation drive that will benefit children in the area. "We really care about our community and we wanted to help out any way we can," said student Stephen Martos, president of the Executive Council of Students. "We thought a toy and coat drive would be the perfect way to help our community this holiday season."

Employees Honored for Outstanding Work
CNM employees Anthony Rael, Pam Etre-Perez, Tom Pierce and Christine Duncan were recently honored by the college for outstanding efforts, which included establishing an English as a Second Language class for CNM Operations employees and for organizing the disbursement of $23 million in financial aid to students.

Record Number of Students Walking in Graduation Ceremony
The thrill of becoming a college graduate as thousands of supporters cheer from the seats of Tingley Coliseum is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that continues to gain popularity. At noon on Saturday (Dec. 8) in Tingley, more than 620 graduates will walk in the Fall 2012 CNM Graduation Ceremony, which will set the college record for participation in a graduation ceremony.

STEM-UP Center Helps Students Pursue STEM Degrees
A new STEM-UP Transfer Center was inaugurated with a Grand Opening on Nov. 14. The Center is located on Main Campus in L Building, Room100, and offers one-stop shopping for students pursuing degrees in four core fields identified as vital by the U.S. Department of Education, other agencies and prospective employers.
