CNM Instructor Receives FAA Certification in Preparation for Drone Program
November 30, 2016 -- CNM faculty member Dr. Richard Watson, who is working with the School of Applied Technologies (AT) to implement a small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS or drone) program, successfully passed his Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 exam in November and received a Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Airman Certificate.

CNM Students Place in Screenwriting Competition
April 27, 2017 -- CNM students took first and third place in the Scholastic Screenwriting Competition sponsored by the New Mexico Film Foundation. Their scripts were read by local actors during a gala at the Governor’s Mansion in Santa Fe on Friday.

Aug. 29, 2017 -- The College & Career High School (CCHS), a partnership between Albuquerque Public Schools and Central New Mexico Community College, posted the fourth best score in the state and the highest score among APS in the New Mexico Public Education Department’s annual school grading report that was released last week.

Four CNM Students Travel to Colombia as Part of Global Ed Program
November 29, 2016 -- Four CNM students recently traveled to Medellin, Colombia as part of an exchange program with Colombia’s Servicio National de Aprendizaje (SENA) to participate in a one-month Cisco Systems computer networking certification program. SENA is a technical school with campuses throughout Colombia.
