State’s First IT Apprenticeship Program Launches at CNM Friday
November 15, 2016 -- Several local companies will be on hand at the CNM Workforce Training Center Nov. 18 to sign an agreement to participate in the newly-established New Mexico Information Technology Apprenticeship Program (NMITAP). The signing is one of hundreds of events across the county held as part of the U.S. Department of Labor’s National Apprenticeship Week.

CNM Receives Grant to Help High School Students Take College-level Courses
July 6, 2016 -- The CNM Foundation is the recipient of a three-year, $180,955 Community Impact Project Grant from the United Way of Central New Mexico (UWCNM). The grant will be used to establish a test-prep boot camp that will take place during summers for high school students planning to take dual credit courses at the college. This is the first year that UWCNM has offered a multi-year grant, and the CNM Foundation’s application was fully funded.

Oct. 6, 2016 -- CNM students in the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program in the School of Business & Information Technology (BIT) have been working with the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History to develop a virtual docent application.

Dec. 14, 2015 -- CNM’s devoted efforts in recent years to help more students reach graduation has led to remarkable graduation gains, including recent numbers that show CNM set a new all-time record for the number of students graduating in the 2014-15 academic year – 6,232 students.

CNM Closed for First Half of Day on Friday, Aug. 28
Aug. 27, 2015 -- Due to CNM’s annual Convocation for faculty and staff, all CNM campuses will be closed for the first half of the day on Friday, Aug. 28. Main Campus will reopen at noon on Friday. All other campuses will reopen at 1 p.m. on Friday.
