CNM Offering Three Certificate Programs in Health Care for ESL and ESOL Students
November 21, 2016 -- In the 2017 Spring Term, CNM will offer three certificate programs for English as a Second Language (ESL) and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students who want to prepare for a career in a healthcare field.

Oct. 16, 2013 -- CNM is hosting a free screening of the movie “A Place at the Table,” a documentary on hunger that features Jeff Bridges, founder of the End Hunger Network. The screening will take place Oct. 23 in Smith Brasher Hall, Room 100 from 4-7 p.m.

CNM Offers Summer Boot Camp to Help High School Students Retain Knowledge Obtained During School Year
July 5, 2017 -- High school students typically lose about three months of knowledge during the summer months. CNM is experimenting with a way of combating that loss – three-week summer boot camps where students are immersed in Math or Reading/English.

All CNM offices will be closed on Friday, Sept. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the annual faculty and staff Convocation. For students, if you have a class scheduled during this time, please ask your instructor if the class will be held.

CNM One of 12 Colleges Selected to Grow National Credential Program for Retail Workers
Feb. 8, 2017 – The League for Innovation in the Community College today announced a $2.9 million grant from the Walmart Foundation to develop a three-part credentialing program for retail workers. Central New Mexico Community College is among one of 12 community colleges across the country to be chosen to participate in the program, Brighter Futures 3.0, which will build on the success of the Western Association of Food Chains’ (WAFC) Retail Management Certificate.
