April 9, 2015 --The CNM Chapter of the American Association for Women in Community Colleges celebrated outstanding female students pursuing degrees in fields typically dominated by males at the fifth annual Women in Nontraditional (WIN) Careers Awards on April 2.

Financial Aid Workshops Held at Main Campus Thursday
Feb. 20, 2013 -- As part of national Financial Aid Awareness Week, CNM’s Financial Aid and Scholarship Services department will be hosting two events on Feb. 21 to help future and current students better understand the financial aid process.

Financial Aid Workshops Set for Feb. 16, 18 and 19
Feb. 13, 2015 -- Now is the time to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2015-16 school year. CNM Financial Aid staff will be on hand at upcoming workshops to help students fill out the paperwork and answer any questions. Students can also get information or apply for 2015-16 CNM scholarships. The workshops will take place Feb. 16, 18 and 19 at 10 a.m. to noon or 1-3 p.m. on Main Campus in the Student Services Center, Room 204-B.

Finding homes for the neediest young people
March 11, 2014 -- The New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD) Heart Gallery holds three special private events each year where teens needing foster/adoptive families are introduced to adults licensed to adopt them. On March 15 CNM’s Workforce Training Center is partnering with CYFD to hold an adoption matching event at the school’s new baking and culinary lab in the Robert P. Matteucci Building on the Main Campus.

Fire Sciences Program Helps Prepare Volunteer Firefighters for Looming Fire Season
April 16, 2014 -- As this year’s forest and wildland fire season heats up, CNM Fire Sciences Instructor Brian Henington is leading an effort to provide volunteer firefighters around the state with the knowledge they need to battle blazes while staying safe.

First Class of College & Career High School Students Graduating
April 30, 2014 -- The College & Career High School’s first class of graduating seniors will be celebrated at CNM’s Spring Graduation Ceremony on Saturday at Tingley Coliseum. The CCHS grads are exiting the school with plenty of college credits on their transcripts.
