February 3, 2015 -- For the second year in a row, CNM is going for green greatness by entering the RecycleMania Tournament alongside more than 390 colleges and universities from across the U.S. and Canada. The competition is under way, and you’re on the CNM team. Help score points for the college, and more importantly the planet, by dropping all of your recyclable waste into nearby recycle bins.

Homework Diner Combines Nutritious Food and Homework Help
October 7, 2013 -- Low-volume voices were all that could be heard last Monday night at Manzano Mesa Elementary School as about 70 children and their parents concentrated on homework. Then came a delicious home-style meal prepared by CNM culinary students.

Impressive New Building at Westside Campus Opens Jan. 31
Jan. 28, 2013 -- The latest advancement in CNM’s built environment will debut at the Westside Campus on Jan. 31, when the grand opening ceremony for Westside I will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 3 p.m., followed by an open house and self-guided tours.

Instructor and Wildland Firefighter Teaches from Vast Experience
October 10, 2013 -- Between late April and July 8, Brian Henington, a CNM wildland firefighting instructor, was home four days. The rest of the time he was fighting fires, including one where he battled a blaze next to the 19 firefighters who later died in the Arizona Yarnell Hill Fire.

Investment Study Can Help Students Save for Education, a House or Starting a Business
March 4, 2013 -- CNM students can apply to participate in a study called the “Suncat Savings Challenge” that will allow many students to invest in a matched savings account. For every dollar a qualifying student puts into the account, public and private institutions will match the dollar with four dollars.
