CNM Ranked Fourth Nationally for Degrees Granted to Hispanics

September 14, 2016 -- CNM has received a $50,000 grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to expand the IGNITE Community Accelerator. The program provides focused education, training, mentoring, coaching and leadership to help early-stage businesses develop an action plan, financial structure and customer base to ensure the highest probability of future success.

CNM Receives Federal Approval to Enroll International Students
March 20, 2017 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently certified CNM to enroll international students studying on M and F visas. CNM’s Global Education office is now accepting international student inquiries to attend CNM beginning with the 2017 Fall Term that begins in August.

CNM Receives Grant from AARP to Help Women Over 50 Gain Employment
September 17, 2015 -- The AARP Foundation, a grantee of the Social Innovation Fund, awarded Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) a subgrant designed to help women age 50 and older prepare for new careers. The subgrant will be for $175,000 per year for three years.

CNM Receives Grant to Help High School Students Take College-level Courses
July 6, 2016 -- The CNM Foundation is the recipient of a three-year, $180,955 Community Impact Project Grant from the United Way of Central New Mexico (UWCNM). The grant will be used to establish a test-prep boot camp that will take place during summers for high school students planning to take dual credit courses at the college. This is the first year that UWCNM has offered a multi-year grant, and the CNM Foundation’s application was fully funded.
