          The Achievement Coaches are a diverse group of individuals who can support student success and retention at CNM.

Achievement Coach services include:

Academic Coaching and Intervention: Provide perspective, encouragement, and insight as students set academic goals; provide guidance as they develop success strategies to overcome academic difficulties or setbacks; assist students to develop skills in planning, resiliency, and persistence.

Career and Transition Coaching: Help students bridge gap between where they are now in their careers and where they want to be. Assist students with career exploration, transition, direction and management.

Department and Program Orientation Activities: Provide a variety of departmental orientation activities to current and new students.

Mentoring: Provide a variety of mentoring opportunities through student employees, student organizations, staff or community members.

Referrals Within and Outside CNM: Refer students to internal and external supports such as CNM departments, services and resources. External referrals include resources such as government services, housing, food, childcare, etc.

Informational Presentations and Workshops: Presentations and workshops are offered to students to encourage their success; these presentations may include topics such as stress management, time management, test taking, study techniques, learning styles, effective study group formation, and academic skills related to departmental coursework.
