What is an Achievement Coach?
The role of the Achievement Coach is to help students succeed with their education and career goals. This is accomplished by problem solving to eliminate barriers to their education and to find their strengths. The overall goal of the Achievement Coach is to help retain students in classes.
When do I refer a student to an Achievement Coach?
Refer students for any obstacle that is preventing them from being successful in your class. If we are not able to help the student directly from our office, we will find a the campus or community resource to help the student. Below is a list of common referral areas:

How do I make a referral?
Faculty members make referrals several different ways. One way is to give the student the division Achievement Coach's office location, phone number or email address and have them contact the Achievement Coach directly. Some faculty members will email or call the Achievement Coach and ask us to follow up with the student. Feel free to use which ever method is easiest for you.
