Steps for New Students

In order to help you maneuver through the process, we have created a list with links!

1.  Apply for Admission to CNM:  you may apply in-person or ONLINE. There is no charge to apply for admission to CNM, however there are residency requirements for tuition rate and other criteria you must meet.  Call Admissions (224-3160) or see an Admissions Clerk at any campus or the online application for specific criteria.

2.  Apply for FINANCIAL AID, if needed.

3.  Take the ACCUPLACER TEST or provide other placement test scores, including ACT/SAT or college transcripts that include English, Reading, and Math.

4.  Complete New Student Orientation ONLINE if you are a first-time college student.

5.  Meet with an ACADEMIC ADVISOR to discuss your class schedule, your placement tests, or if you have any other questions about CNM and getting started.

6.  Register for your classes ONLINE.

7.  Pay for your classes - you must pay for your classes by end of business the next day unless otherwise posted.  Payment DEADLINES are printed in the Schedule of Classes. Failure to pay all charges in full will result in partial or total schedule deletion.

8.  Obtain a STUDENT ID CARD.

9.  Purchase your TEXTBOOKS.

10.  Register your vehicle with SECURITY.

Remember, if you have questions about any of these steps, come see us!
