Transfer Tips
When should I start?
AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. It is important to prepare for your transfer early to ensure a smooth transition.
- Be aware of any deadlines that may apply to transfer students (i.e. admission, registration, etc.).
How should I begin?
MEET WITH A CNM ACADEMIC ADVISOR. An advisor can assist you in identifying pre-major and general education courses that can be completed as part of a transfer degree at CNM.
- Students may walk-in or make an appointment; call 505.224.4321.
PARTICIPATE IN TRANSFER ACTIVITIES. Investigate academic programs at colleges by attending transfer workshops, visiting information tables, or attending transfer fairs.
- Contact AACD for information regarding transfer events.
PROVIDE OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS. Official transcripts must be reviewed and evaluated by the transfer school.
MEET WITH AN ADVISOR from each college that you plan to attend. If official transcripts have not been provided to the schools, be prepared to provided unofficial transcripts during your visit.
