The Assistance Centers for Education (ACE) offers one-to-one and small-group learning assistance. Certified tutors are available to help students in a variety of subjects. Learning Centers within ACE include the following:
- The Tutorial/Learning Centers (T/LC) provides individual tutoring in English, math, sciences and other areas on a walk-in basis.
- The Adult Education Learning Centers (AELC) are open to all adult basic education students. Subjects covered are basic skills, job/life skills, English as a Second Language, and GED preparation.
- The Writing and Reading Assistance Centers (WRAC) are open to all students in developmental education courses. Topics covered are pre-writing techniques, essay organization, reading comprehension, study skills and other concepts covered in reading and writing courses.
Free online tutoring: CNM also offers free online tutoring at www.smartthinking.com.
