GED Requirements

The following requirements must be met in order to register:

First-time examinees

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Present 2 forms of identification. One must be a current government issued photo ID.
  • Present proof of payment of the required $25. fee (non refundable).
  • Fill out demographics form.GED candidates 16 or 17 years of age must also present a completed UPF (click here for more information)

Re-test and To Complete the GED in English and Spanish

  • Pay an $15 non-refundable rescheduling fee.
  • Registration must be done in person.
  • Retesting date must be at least 60 days after previous testing date.

Special Accommodations

Examinees with a request for special GED testing accommodations must contact Main Campus Assessment Services prior to registration.

Examinees with situations that can prevent them from taking the exam, such as problems with identification or lack of Social Security number, are encouraged to discuss this with an examiner prior to registration.

No Shows

If a person fails to show up as scheduled, he/she will have to register in person for the missed exam and pay an $15 non-refundable rescheduling fee and wait four months to re-register.
