- Offer instructional planning and student retention information
- In-class workshops are available on a variety of topics from teamwork, time management, test taking, study skills and question think.
Coaching
- Provide perspective, encouragement, and insight as students set academic goals; provide guidance as students develop methods/plans to overcome academic difficulties or setbacks
- Assist students in developing skills in planning, resiliency, and persistence

Career and Transition Coaching
- Help students bridge the gap between where they are now in their careers and where they want to be
- Assist students with career exploration, transition, direction, and management. May refer to other educational institutions
Graduation Information

- Offer information on the graduation process at CNM
- Visit classes to brief students on graduation application process and program requirements
- Promote and encourage graduation as a goal for students
- Refer students to career and educational specialists for graduation application
Program and Course Information
- Assist students in making informed choices regarding their education by providing accurate information or referrals about programs and courses
Division and Departmental Orientation Activities
- Provide a variety of departmental orientation activities to current and new students
Informational Presentations and Workshops
- Offer students presentations and workshops that promote success; these presentations may include topics such as balancing school, home, and work; stress management; time management; test taking and study techniques; question thinking; critical thinking; learning styles; effective study group formation; and academic skills related to departmental courses
Basic Financial Aid Information
- Provide information about the location and services of CNM Financial Aid as well as information regarding the process of receiving and maintaining financial aid
Mentoring
- Provide a variety of mentoring opportunities
Referrals Within and Outside CNM
- Refer students to internal and external supports such as CNM departments, services, and resources
- External referrals include resources such as government and/or non-profit agencies
Dual Enrollment Student Support
- Support dual enrollment students to promote student success
