Follow These Steps to Register

Review the CNM Catalog to determine your major and learn which courses are required for that major.  Academic advisors are available to guide you through this important decision. The Catalog also contains information on tuition/fees and term start/end dates. 

Apply for admission online or in person and receive a student ID number

Complete new student orientation online or in person

Apply for financial aid, scholarships, Veteran’s benefits (optional).  Processing can take up to eight weeks, so start early.  You'll need your income tax records. 

Take the Accuplacer exam or provide ACT/SAT scores taken within the last five years. Accuplacer practice tests and study guides are available.      

If you have successfully completed courses at another college that you wish to have evaluated for transfer credit, have an official transcript sent to: Student Records, Central New Mexico Community College, 525 Buena Vista Dr. SE, Albuquerque NM 87106.  You will receive a letter that outlines which courses were accepted by CNM.

Review the Schedule of Classes to find classes at times and locations that are convenient for you and register.  Please note that not every class is offered every term. 

Pay for classes online or in person

Get textbooks from a CNM bookstore or a vendor of your choosing.

Set up your Passport account

Get your student ID card and free ABQRide bus sticker (optional)

Register your car with Parking Services (optional)

Attend class

Contact an achievement coach if you need tutoring or other assistance.
