Health Information Technology Program Goals & Standards
Goal
Faculty will demonstrate current knowledge, skills, qualifications and professional development in the content areas they teach.
| Target Outcomes | 100% of faculty shall be currently employed in a health information related field and maintain credentials related to health information (credentialed by AHIMA and/or AAPC). |
| | Faculty complete one professional and educational development activity. |
Goal
Program graduates will demonstrate the health information management entry-level competencies.
| Target Outcomes | 100% of graduates will receive favorable ratings (satisfactory or very satisfactory) from employers on the employer survey. |
| | 100% of students will be rated overall "above average" by professional practice experience supervisors on the facility evaluation form. |
| | 95% annual passage rate on RHIT exam |
Goal
The health information management curriculum will include, at minimum, the required knowledge clusters with content and experiences to enable students to meet current entry-level competencies.
| Target Outcomes | 100% of HIT curriculum includes required knowledge clusters with content and experiences to enable students to meet current entry-level competencies. |
| | All students will score 91% of above on professional practice experience projects. |
