Location directions:  We are located on the southwest corner of 12th and Menaul.

Agency description/mission:  The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center was established to advance understanding and present the accomplishments and evolving history of the Pueblo people of New Mexico.  Owned and operated by the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico, the IPCC serves as a gateway to the Pueblos.

Service Learning opportunities:  Students may help share their experiences as members of native communities while giving tours of our permanent and changing exhibits.  Working with our membership database or hands-on activities and programming are also opportunities.  We also have a MySpace page, that will need work in terms of graphics.  We can also work with students to develop a project suitable to their class requirements.

Orientation/Training schedule:  1/22/08-2/26/08, each Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Otherwise, students may also be individually trained as needed.

Special conditions or requirements:  NA

Number of service learning students needed:  5

Hours of operation when students are needed:  9:00 am-5:00 pm

Minimum hour commitment required: 4 (hours dependent on project assigned); Semester:



The Service Learning Program is a proud recipient of a Corporation for National and Community Service Grant. The program is also the 1999 National Bellwether award winner and the 2004 Community College National Center for Community Engagement Service Learning and Civic Engagement award winner.
