Anthropology is the scientific study of human beings, both past and present, and in all parts of the world.  Anthropology has traditionally been divided into four distinct, but interrelated sub-disciplines or fields: Biological/Physical Anthropology; Archaeology; Cultural Anthropology; and Linguistic Anthropology.
