CNM Alternative Teacher Licensure Program

Alternative Teacher Licensure Certificate Program

The Alternative Teacher Licensure Certificate Program is a post-baccalaureate program for students interested in obtaining a New Mexico Level 1 teaching license.  Concentrations are offered in Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary and Special Education.

Candidates for the Alternative Teacher Licensure Program should plan to attend an information session. Candidates interested in applying for Fall 2008 should attend one of the following:  June 10, 5:00-7:00 p.m.,  July 10, 5:00-7:00 in Student Services Center Room 102 or July 21, 5:00-7:00 in MS 311.  Please R. S. V. P. to teachered@cnm.edu

Fall applications are due July 18th by 5:00 p.m. in the areas of special education, early childhood, and math and/or science secondary (exceptions made for those with proof of acquiring teacher job dependent on securing intern license or if there are still spaces available).

Spring applications are due December 5th by 5:00 p.m.  We will be accepting applications in all licensure areas for the spring semester.

Candidates for the Alternative Teacher Licensure Program must attend an information session. Candidates interested in applying for Spring 2009 should attend one of the following:  October 23, 5:00-7:00, SSC 102 or November 4, 5:00-7:00, SSC 102.  Please R.S.V.P to teachered@cnm.edu

Spring 2009 Alternative Teacher Licensure Program Application

The application process includes enrollment with CNM, submission of official transcripts, a letter of intent, technology and diversity essay and form reference letters.
