ITS will be testing a Disaster Recovery Plan at West Side Campus (WSC) only. 
There will be an outage due to this test:

Sunday, September 27th, 2009 8:00am – 5:00pm

The following services will be affected during this process:
All Network Services at WSC (folders, printing, web, all shared files on WSC servers)
All Banner access at WSC  (including STARS, Web for Students, Online Registration)

OnSaturday, September 26, ITS is scheduled to implement some significant network changes designed to improve CNM's Internet connectivity.  However, these network changes will require that anyone using an Internet-based, or remotely hosted, software system notify that service provider and ITS.

ITS will be adding a second Internet connection to CNM's networks.  This change will essentially give CNM 2 separate pathways to get from CNM to the Internet.  However, this change could also affect hosted applications like:
WorkKeys
Libros
Augusoft/Lumens
….others! 
These are only a few examples of hosted software systems that CNM uses, but run on computer systems outside of our local networks.

What do I need to do? - If you are responsible for any of these types of hosted applications, you will need to:

1.      Contact ITS by calling the ITS Service Desk at 224-HELP (224-4357), or e-mail us at servicedesk@cnm.edu, and let us know which hosted application will be affected;

2.      Contact the service/support contact for that hosted solution and let them know that this change is coming.  If they need additional information regarding these changes, please have them call the ITS Service Desk at 224-HELP, or send their contact information to servicedesk@cnm.edu – we will work with them to give them the appropriate technical information to keep the application working.
