ITS Software Checkout Services

ITS offers a great benefit for CNM Employees, the ITS Service Desk  in Building A, room 127 has software for CNM Employees to purchase for a nominal  fee, or software for checkout (these CD’s must be returned). 

Rules:

  • You must be a current CNM employee
    (Sorry, software packages are not available for students or student employees.)
  • You may not purchase more than one software package of the same type.  For example: you cannot purchase two Office 2003 packages.
  • You must return software that is checked out within 2 days as we only have so many copies to loan, you may be making another employee wait until you return your copy.

The software that is available for purchase (payable at the Cashier’s office at Student Services) are:

Windows Vista ($20.00 fee)
Office Professional Plus 2007 ($20.00 fee) (this includes Word 2007, Excel 2007, Outlook 2007, PowerPoint 2007, Publisher 2007 and Access 2007.
Windows XP ($10.00 fee) (Out of Stock until 12/1/2008)
Visio 2007
($20.00 fee)
Project 2007 ($20.00 fee)
Sharepoint Designer 2007 ($20.00 fee)
Microsoft Office 2008 for the Macintosh ($20.00 fee)

***ON SALE*** Office 2003 ($5.00 fee) and Office 2004 for MAC ($5.00 fee)(not available to employees who have already purchased this software package)


The software that is available for checkout (returnable to the Service Desk) are:
SnagIt (screen capture software)
Camtasia (video capture software)
Norton’s AntiVirus 10 (or latest version that is on the CNM campus computers)
Windows 2000
Windows 98 2nd edition
Visual Studio.NET
Visual Studio 6.0

To purchase software packages follow these steps:
1.  Fill out the form(someone from the Service Desk will e-mail you or call you when we receive the form)
2.  Go to the cashier’s office at Student Services and refer to account code MSDK.  You will pay the appropriate fee for each software product; for example: if you want  Office 2007 and Windows Vista you will need to pay cashiers $40.00.
3.  Bring the original receipt to the Service Desk staff in building A on Main campus room 127.
4.  Sign the agreement form and take home the software.

To check out software packages follow these steps:
1. 
Call the Service Desk to make sure the software is available at 224-4357
2.  Pick up the software package at the Service Desk (A127) between 8-5 Monday – Friday
3.  Fill out the agreement form and take home the software
4.  Return the software in 2 days (or if you check it out on Thursday you can return it on Monday)
