Outlook Won't Open

There a few reasons why you may not be able to open Outlook e-mail.  Please follow the steps below to help open Outlook.  If you need additional assistance please call 224-4357 or e-mail the helpdesk.  Please remember to leave an alternate way to contact you if you are having e-mail problems.

1.  You must be logged into windows and be in the ADMIN domain to access Outlook.  Log off the computer and log back on to make sure your connection is established.

2.  You must have a profile on Outlook on the computer you are using to set up your profile:

Double click on the 'My Computer' icon
Double click on the 'Control Panel' icon
Double click on the 'Mail' icon
Make sure that 'Microsoft Exchange Server' is highlighted in the box.
Choose the 'Show Profiles' button.
Choose the 'Add' button.
Make sure that the ‘Microsoft Exchange Server’ box is checked
Click on the ‘Next’ button
Type in a profile name (this can be your first name, or username, or last name)
Click on the ‘Next’ button
Type in 'email' in the 'Microsoft Exchange Server' window.
Type in your windows username 'Mailbox' window.
Click on the 'Check' button.  You should see your name underlined.  (If not please call the helpdesk at 224-4357)
Choose the 'Next' button.
Choose the 'Next' button again.
Choose the 'Finish' button.
