About the CNM Foundation

Reorganized in 1992, the CNM Foundation is Central New Mexico Community College's private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. The CNM Foundation leverages private funding resources and opportunities to maximize CNM's operational and program funding.

Our Mission

The CNM Foundation is committed to the principle that no student should be denied the opportunity for an education or vocational training due solely to a lack of financial resources.

The CNM Foundation works to help the College meet its mission to create educational opportunities and community partnerships while pursuing a level of community college excellence that is worthy of local and national recognition.

Our Vision

The CNM Foundation, its Officers, and Board Members serve as the premier fundraising and advocacy group for promoting CNM and its programs within the community to raise funds for student scholarships, program support and other special college needs.

For some, CNM provides the cornerstone of their careers - careers the utilize state-of-the-art technologies that can be learned through courses offered by the College. Contributions to the CNM Foundation help supplement funds earmarked for high-tech equipment the college needs to provide quality training. It is this training that contributes to a strong workforce.

For others, a CNM education offers an avenue out of poverty, a vicious circle that forces them to work more than one job to support their families, yet provides no financial ability to pursue the education necessary to rise above poverty level. The CNM Foundation provides financial assistance to these students so that they may attend school and buy their books and supplies.
