Is your goal at CNM to continue your education or to get the training you need to go straight into the workforce? Either way, one of the most beneficial ways for you to support and enhance your academic experience and/or your career preparation is to get involved on campus with an endeavor that will provide you with the opportunity to develop and improve your leadership skills. When employers across the nation are surveyed to find what it is they look for in the students they hire, the number one response is leadership skills and evidence that students have learned how to function within a team environment. The very best ways to gain those skills at CNM is to become an active member of a student club or organization and to take part in other activities that are provided for students.
The link to the right will take you to the web page for the Student Activities Office. At this site you will be able to check out the many (over 30!) student clubs and organizations that exist for students and the many other opportunities for students to be actively involved on campus. As Dean of Students, I encourage you to become engaged with your learning community by joining a club or organization today and working to be a leader within that organization. It will really make a difference in your academic and career success!
