Central New Mexico Community College has chosen to use Blackboard CE6, a newer Distance Learning software to replace its previous Distance Learning platform, WebCT 4.1. The program, looks a lot different from WebCT 4.1 but still uses the same concepts and tools. You still be able to do the things you were able to do with WebCT 4.1.
Making Your Computer Work with Blackboard CE6
There are a few things your will need to configure to make your computer work with Blackboard CE6.
1. Disable any pop up blocker. Blackboard makes extensive use of Pop ups and ALL blockers should be disabled or you may have a problem accessing course content. Remember to check ALL tool bars (i.e.: Yahoo, Google, Earthlink, Internet Explorer, Norton Anti Virus to name a few) for Pop up blocker options.
2. Complete the Check Browser on the CNM Blackboard Site at http://elearning.cnm.edu to determine if a validated Browser is being used. This will also perform a cookies check, JavaScript check and Pop up window check. You can also click the button below to perform the check.

3. Use the Check Browser button again at http://elearning.cnm.edu to ensure you have the correct version of Java.
