Leveled Courses vs. Integrated Courses

Leveled courses offer specific work in a particular discipline in Basic Skills (such as Math or Reading) or a specific level of learning in English as a Second Language (such as literacy or intermediate). The coursework is specific to the students' needs. Students' will learn more efficiently and thoroughly in the leveled courses.

Integrated courses offer general work in all disciplines and learning levels. The coursework may not always be specific to the students' needs, as students of all levels may enroll in integrated classes. It may take a student longer to learn specific skills through the Integrated classes. However, it is often more convenient for a student to take one class, versus several classes, due to scheduling difficulties.
