A Guide to CNM's Online Information System

CNM's online information system allows you to access:

• An updated list of classes
• The CNM Catalog
• Financial aid information and applications
• A "Secure Area" so you can;
  • register for classes and make schedule changes,
  • check your fees,
  • view your grades,
  • check your financial aid account,
  • view your account balance and payments,
  • pay your tuition and fees by credit card,
  • and more!

Helpful instructions are included on each screen throughout the system.

Before You Register, Be Prepared! Plan your schedule. Complete the "Schedule Worksheet" on page 9 of the printable Schedule of Classes.

To Access the Secure Area

1. Access CNM's online secure area (www.cnm.edu/banner).
2. Click on Login to Secure Area
3. Enter your User ID (CNM ID number or ssn) and PIN
   1. Your User ID is your CNM ID number or your social security number.
   2. Your PIN is preset to your date of birth (mmddyy). The first time you log into the system, you will be asked to enter a security question and answer you will use to reset your PIN if you forget it. If you used CNM's Online Student System or STARS during the previous term, use the same PIN.

      Your PIN is valid on both CNM's online system and STARS.

4. Register for Classes
5. Click on Select a Term for Registration
6. Select Register for Classes and Add/Drop Classes

Change Class Grading Option: If a class has more than one grading option, you may change the grading option through the last day to drop the class.

Your Class Schedule & Your Class Schedule by Day & Time: Provides you  more than one way to view your schedule

Tuition/Fee Information and Payment: Lists your charges and payments for the registration term.

Pay Online: To pay tuition and fees by MasterCard, Visa or electronic check, select "Tuition/Fee Information" form the Registration Menu or "View Your Account Summary by Term" from the Records Menu.

Student Records: To view holds on your record, grades, CNM transcript and account information.

Financial Aid: To apply for financial aid and/or access your financial aid information.
