Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

Grants links:  Federal Grants | State Grants | Grant Payment Chart

  • The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity (FSEOG) is awarded to undergraduate students with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of '0'.
  • Federal Pell Grant recipients receive priority for FSEOG awards and are automatically considered for the grant.
  • The amount awarded to a student is based on availability of funds and is prorated based on a student's enrollment.
  • At CNM, the maximum award is $1,000 per year and is generally awarded during the Fall and Spring terms.
  • FSEOG recipients must not have earned a bachelors degree and must be enrolled in eligible courses in an eligible program of study.
  • Due to limited funds, it is important to apply early to be considered for these funds. Not everyone who qualifies for an FSEOG might get one.
