To receive financial aid you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen.
- Declare an eligible major.
- Enroll in eligible courses. Some ineligible courses include GED and apprenticeship classes. Financial aid does not pay for audited classes. In addition, students may not receive financial aid for more than 30 credit hours of attempted developmental coursework.
- Maintain financial aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
- Not be in default on any federal educational loans.
- Not owe a refund on a grant.
- Sign a statement of educational purpose (FAFSA).
- You must comply with Selective Service Registration.
- Have the ability to benefit from your course of study.
- Will not receive federal Pell Grant from more than one college for the same period of time.
