Objective:
CNM scholarships are intended to help defray the cost of attendance and encourage New Mexico residents to complete a degree or certificate program at CNM. New and continuing awards are based on the limited availability of funds and are awarded to assist students in the most beneficial manner possible.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP); cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, completion rate of 70% and be within maximum time frame (MTF)
- Have not received a Bachelors’ Degree
- Have unmet need as determined by FAFSA
- Enroll for a minimum of 6 credit hours each term
- Be a resident of New Mexico
- A citizen of the United States or a or an eligible non-citizen
- Be admitted to CNM and have declared a financial aid eligible major
- Have completed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Continuing Eligibility:
Student must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Duration of Eligibility:
The initial scholarship begins with the first term of the award. Thereafter, each scholarship is for a period of one term and is subject to continuing eligibility requirements and fund availability.
How and When to Apply:
Apply online January through June for the upcoming academic year at http://www.cnm.edu/depts/fass/scholarships. Scholarship applications may become available for the following terms only if additional funds become available. For spring and/or summer term(s) see Financial Aid and Scholarship Services.
