To apply for the first time or if you have not used your VA educational benefits within a year, complete a VA application and submit it to the Veterans Administration, P.O. Box 888, Muskogee, OK 74402-8888.
Use the following VA application forms:
- 22-1990 for veterans
- 27-5490 for dependents
The application and other forms are available at CNM Financial Aid and Scholarship Services or at the VA department located at 500 Gold SE in Albuquerque. You may also apply online at http://www.gibill.va.gov.
It may take from 8-12 weeks for the file to be processed at the VA Regional Office, so apply early.
