Programs that Adjust Enrollment

Programs that adjust enrollment may result in reduced aid.

Some majors at CNM have adjusted credit hours as determined by federal regulations. What does this mean? If you are taking 12 credit hours in one of the programs below, you may be paid Pell grant money at less than the full time amount.

Federal formula used to determine this payment based on the program is as follows:

  • A trimester hour must include at least 37.5 clock hours of instruction.
  • Number of clock hours in the credit-hour program divided by 37.5

This can be explained by our staff if you visit the Financial Aid offices at Main, Montoya or Westside campus or call us at 505-224-3090, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
