CNM Scholarships Information

CNM scholarships include the CNM Legislative Scholarship, CNM General Scholarship, and CNM Daycare Scholarship and are intended to help cover the cost of attendance and encourage New Mexico residents to complete a degree or certificate program at CNM. Awards are based on the availability of funds and are intended to assist students in the best way possible.

CNM scholarships are awarded to students who have completed a CNM Scholarship Application and meet eligibility requirements.

Application:

The application opens online every February for the upcoming academic year and remains online as long as funds are available. A new application must be completed for each academic year.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must:

  • Be admitted to CNM and have declared a financial aid eligible major
  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP); cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or above, completion rate of 66.67% or better and be within maximum time frame (MTF)
  • Enroll for a minimum of 6 credit hours each term
  • Be a New Mexico resident

Continuing Eligibility

Students must:

  • Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP); cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or above, completion rate of 66.67% or better and be within maximum time frame (MTF)
  • Complete a new application each spring for the following academic year

Students unable to complete a FAFSA:

    CNM offers state and institutional scholarships to New Mexico residents who do not have a Social Security Number and are unable to complete a FAFSA but who have completed the CNM Scholarship Application and meet all scholarship requirements. A new CNM Scholarship Application must be completed every year to be considered for these scholarships.
