The School of Health, Wellness and Public Safety is committed to student learning, also referred to as "academic achievement." The learning system includes a quality curriculum, effective teaching and learning strategies, and classroom, laboratory and community resources.
To determine the effectiveness of this learning system, each HWPS program measures student learning by assessing Core Competencies and unique Program Exit Competencies. Each program uses the data from this assessment to improve and enhance the learning system. Student Learning Outcomes assessment is part of a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process.
Each degree or certificate program publishes an annual report. The 2006 -2007 program reports can be viewed by clicking on the program link in the column to the right on this page.
