Associate of Applied Science Degree in EMT - Paramedic

The CNM EMS Program will discontinue teaching the 3-term Certificate of Completion - EMT-Paramedic program at the end of Summer 2009.  The certificate program will be replaced by a 4-term Associate of Applied Science Degree in Emergency Medical Services - Paramedic program beginning Fall 2009.  The change of paramedic program offering is: (1) in response to employer needs for increased literacy levels for paramedic graduates, (2) in response to students needs for increased mobility within the EMS profession, and (3) in keeping with changing national standards that will impact EMS education in the future.
