Computer Lab Imaging Schedule for Summer 2015 Term Available

ITS will soon be preparing the CNM computer classrooms and labs for the upcoming Summer 2015 term. ITS staff would like to encourage all CNM faculty and lab staff to review the schedule below and provide feedback if there are issues or concerns by contacting the ITS Service Desk at itsservicedesk@cnm.edu, or calling (505) 224-4357. Please note – as always, any changes or updates to instructional software must be discussed with, or requested by, the appropriate Academic Chair or Associate Dean for that program, and communicated to the lab supervisor responsible for the various computer labs and classrooms. The lab supervisors will then ensure that the changes and updates are accurately reflected on the Image Management Test Plans (IMTPs) for the specific computer labs/classrooms.

March 30th:

  • Review of computer classroom/lab schedules for Summer 2015 term
  • Need documentation of academic software changes & updates for all computer classrooms/labs (Updated image management test plans due by COB on March 30)
  • Build/deploy Summer 2015 “test image” - signs up on test systems in computer labs/classrooms

March 31 – April 10:

  • Preparation of Summer 2015 test image is complete - “Ready for testing” signs placed on select test systems in computer labs/classrooms
  • Test machine to be complete by ITS by April 10

April 13 – 22:

  • Academic Chair, faculty and lab supervisors/staff begin review of Summer 2015 test image on selected test systems and  go through IMTPs to ensure all software is in place and functional.
  • Feedback corrections to ITS for Summer 2015 test images due April 22

April 22 - 24:

  • Academic Chair, faculty and lab supervisors/staff conclude review of test image and instructional software
  • Corrections made to test image – retest instructional software as necessary. Completed by April 24.

April 29:

  • System images for Summer 2015 is “frozen” - Post signs: “Official Summer 2015 image for Room: ________”

April 29 - May 21:

  • ITS begins final deployment of system images in ALL computer labs/classrooms – image deployments to continue through May 21

May 22:

  • Deployment of final images complete

Changing Your Password

How to change your password and find help

You'll need:

  • Your 6-digit date of birth (MMDDYY)

On Campus

Log into a computer using your default password—your 6-digit date of birth followed by 'atCNM' (MMDDYYatCNM)—and then log into myCNM.

Off Campus

Log into myCNM using your default password, which is your 6-digit date of birth followed by 'atCNM' (MMDDYYatCNM).

After you have logged into myCNM

  • Click on the “My Account” link, located on the upper left hand corner of your myCNM page.
  • On the “My Account” preference page, enter your default password in the [Current Password] field.
  • Then enter new password in the [New Password/Confirm] field, making sure to follow the password requirements listed on the right side of the password change screen.
  • Click the save changes button to confirm the password change.
  • Log out of myCNM and, if you’re on campus log out of the computer and log back in using the new password.

Upcoming ITS Scheduled Outages

Due to a scheduled system outage, the following services will be unavailable Saturday,
March 21st , 12:01am - 4:00am, (early Saturday morning):

  • Blackboard/Learn.cnm.edu – Please DO NOT attempt to access the Blackboard system during this outage.

Due to scheduled system maintenance, the following services will be unavailable from 10:00pm, Saturday, March 21st - 2:00am, Sunday, March 22nd:

  • Banner – all core Banner modules
  • All services under myCNM, (ie, registration, electronic payments, grades, Web for Faculty, student email, myCourses, etc.)

This system outage will NOT affect access to Distance Learning/CNM Learn!

Phone Changes

Staff Phone Extensions Have Changed
As part of a major project to upgrade CNM’s phone system capabilities, many staff members have received new phone numbers or extensions. This project will help CNM ensure that its phone system will be to accommodate future growth.
