CNM Libraries Public Services Policies

Library public services policies are applicable at all CNM Libraries facilities.

Accessibility Policy

Outlines accommodations the Libraries can provide to patrons with disabilities

Children in Libraries

Children in the Libraries are governed by CNM’s policy for children on campus.

Circulation Policy

Governs management of patron accounts and lending/borrowing terms related to all circulating items.

Collection Development

Guides the selection of library collection materials to ensure quality and support the teaching mission of the college and its programs.

Code of Conduct

Outlines expected conduct to ensure a safe and secure environment for library uses and activities.

Copyright Policy and Intellectual Property

Governs and supports legally allowed uses of copyrighted and licensed materials.

Information Technology and Electronic Resources Use 

Specifies terms of access and approved uses of library technology and electronic systems – including computers, internet, copying equipment, electronic database content, and patron information security.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) 

Describes purpose, availability, and access for Interlibrary Loan (ILL) borrowing and lending.

Library Educational Services

Outlines the purposes, objectives, standards and modes of delivery for Reference services, online information literacy materials, Library Research Guides, and Library Instruction classes.

Course Reserves

Governs placement, documentation, duration and disposition of reserves materials. Student access to Reserves collections is governed by the Circulation Policy.
