The new CNM website features a completely new site design. The design was created with input from the CNM community, including 2,000 students and employees. We hope the new site makes common tasks such as registration quicker and easier.

Search

On the old site, search didn't work very well. Now, when you type something into the search box, it will help get you where you need to go.

A New Publishing System

Though it's not visible from the homepage, one of the most important upgrades to cnm.edu is behind-the-scenes. The CNM website team has revamped the website Content Management System (CMS) entirely using a free, open-source content management system called Plone. It's the same system used by the City of Albuquerque and Albuquerque Public Schools.
Here are just a few of the reasons why it's better:

  • CNM is not locked-in with a single vendor. Nor are we required to pay software fees to anyone.
  • We can now easily and quickly update content ourselves.
  • CNM can now collaborate on new features with other local government agencies such as the City of Albuquerque and APS, sharing the development cost.
  • The system meets modern web and usability standards with RSS, cross-browser
  • support, security, and more.
