The Montoya Campus Speaker Series Kicks Off New SeasonThe Montoya Campus Speaker Series will begin its new season on Oct. 9 with “The Value and the Cost of Volunteering,” presented by Randy Mascorella, the executive director of Special Olympics New Mexico.
The event will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. in the J Building, Room 122.
On Oct. 23 from 6:30-8 p.m. in J Building, Room 122, CNM faculty will conduct an “Election 2008 Town Hall.” Faculty members will facilitate a panel discussion of the upcoming fall elections, including state and federal contests. This will be an informative and interactive opportunity for students, faculty and the community to learn more about candidates and issues.
On November 6 from 6:30-8 p.m. in J Building, Room 122 “The Death of Diversity Description of Title: Fostering Equity of Inclusion in America's Colleges and Universities” will be presented by Dr. Finnie Coleman, interim dean of University College at the University of New Mexico.
On December 4 from 6:30-8 p.m. in J Building Room 122 “Private Kitchens, Public Policies: the Creation of a Regional Cuisine” will be presented by Dr. Cheryl J. Foote, School of Communication, Humanities and Social Science at CNM.
