CNM and New President Prepare for Start of Fall Term
CNM will begin its 42nd academic year when students return to classes for the fall term on Monday (Aug. 27). It will also be the first academic year for CNM President Katharine Winograd, who officially became president on July 1.
On Monday, Dr. Winograd will be participating in CNM’s annual parking campaign, which is a volunteer effort by CNM employees to help students find parking as quickly as possible on Main Campus. Dr. Winograd will be in the Smith Brasher Hall parking lot from 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m. providing parking direction and informational resources to students. Smith Brasher Hall is located at 717 University Blvd. SE.
CNM has added 325 new parking spaces for the fall term and is working with the City of Albuquerque to add another 200 spaces for the spring 2008 term.
CNM, the second largest postsecondary institution in the state to UNM, is expecting another large student body this year. Last fall, more than 26,500 students attended CNM.
