CNM Hosts First Support Services Fair for Students Who Are U.S. Military Veterans

In a continuing effort to support the success of U.S. military veterans at CNM, the college will host its first Veterans’ Support Services Fair on Tuesday (Nov. 10) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Main Campus in the Student Services Center. This term, 661 military veterans are enrolled in CNM classes.
The event is open to the public.
Several local veterans’ organizations are scheduled to attend the fair to inform veterans of support services, as well as some local employers who give much consideration to hiring veterans.
CNM has its own team of staff members dedicated to supporting veterans and they will be available to help veterans access a variety of educational benefits.
Some of the organizations that are scheduled to attend include: CNM Student Veterans Club of America; VA Financial Aid; Representatives of Martin Heinrich; Veteran & Family Support Services; NM Department of Veterans Services; Veterans Regional Office; CNM Special Services; Trivet; NM Department of Workforce Solutions; Albuquerque Vet Center; the V.A. Medical Center of Albuquerque; The Branches of the Military; Albuquerque Job Corp; the City of Albuquerque; the Albuquerque Police Department; U.S. Forest Service and Presbyterian Hospital.
