Don’t Have Health Insurance? Nobody’s Invincible – Learn About Options on Thursday

Feb. 12, 2014 -- The New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange (NMHIX) will be hosting an event at CNM’s Main Campus on Thursday (Feb. 13) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to inform students about new, affordable health insurance options.

The event will take place outside of the Student Resource Center under the breezeway and in the grassy area. Free hamburgers, chips, cookies and drinks will be available while supplies last. NMHIX employees will be on hand to answer student questions and provide information about the different health insurance options made available through the Affordable Care Act.

NMHIX serves the following:

  • Those without health insurance.
  • People who can’t afford health insurance offered through their job.
  • Those currently buying their own insurance, but would like more options and affordability.
  • And small businesses with 50 employees or fewer.

If you don’t have health insurance, an unexpected illness or injury can be devastating financially. Don’t let your educational or life goals be derailed by lack of health insurance. Stop by on Thursday and learn about your health insurance options.
