CNM Rolling Up Sleeves to Showcase CTE Programs

Jan. 17, 2013 -- In conjunction with National Career Technical Education Month in February, CNM will be rolling up its sleeves as it prepares to put every CTE program on display for potential students during the college’s first CTE Open House on Feb. 22.

More than 1,300 middle and high school students from across the state have already signed up to get hands-on with CNM’s CTE programs. Community members interested in checking out CNM’s CTE programs will also be welcomed at the event in the afternoon, after the middle and high school students have toured programs in the morning hours.

All of CNM’s 56 CTE fields of study will provide tours of their facilities and information about their programs. Most will also offer hands-on activities to give potential students a feel for the program. Student Services employees will also be available to answer questions and provide information about student resources and how to become a CNM student.

Current CNM Hospitality & Tourism students will lead many of the tours.
