Employees Soon To Receive Annual Statements from New Mexico Educational Retirement Board
The information provided in the annual statement will pertain to employees’ earned service credit and contributions that have accumulated over the year(s) of participation with NMERB, up to Dec. 31, 2013. All calculations are based on the annual salary. Keep in mind that the annual salary displayed is based on a fiscal year and not a calendar year, which is why the annual statement forms may not correspond with W-2 information.
The back of the annual statement contains more information regarding how service credits and retirement benefits are calculated. In addition, there is brief information on the disability benefit, refunds and rollovers.
