Sharon Gordon-Moffett Receives Scholarship

September 4, 2013 -- Sharon Gordon-Moffett, CNM’s director of Service Learning and Skills USA, is one of two people in the country to receive the Dave Berryman Leadership Development Scholarship.

She is a member of the Distance Learning & Instructional Support Department at CNM.

 As part of the scholarship she receives complimentary registration to the National Council of Local Administrators/Association for Career & Technical Education (NCLA/ACTE) Best Practices Conference and a $750 travel stipend. The conference will be Sept. 25-27 in San Diego, Calif.

Gordon-Moffett has been at CNM since 2003. More than 25 plus years ago she graduated from the nursing program at what was then Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute. She holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Metals Technology with a concentration in Machine Tool Technology from CNM. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Psychology from the College of Santa Fe and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree. The Berryman Scholarship is funded through a contribution by the family of the late Dave Berryman. Berryman was an outstanding leader in career and technical education.
