Clubs and Organizations

The following is a listing of student clubs and campus organizations sanctioned by CNM. If you would like further information about CNM’s Recognized Student Organizations, please call the Student Activities Office at (505) 224-3238.

  • AISES (American Indian Science & Engineering Society)

    The mission of AISES is promote Native American education through enhancing our culture while striving to accomplish our educational endeavors. We will keep the old age in mind:  “Only when Indian people help Indian people will our Nations Stand strong.”

  • Artworks Art Club

    The Artworks club exposes its members to diverse art concepts, mediums, techniques, and opportunities in a professional environment. The mission of this organization is to help build lifelong relationships and support each other’s personal success in the area of art. Strive to enrich the CNM community through the appreciation and expression of art.

  • AWS (American Welding Society)

    Provide students of the CNM Welding program an opportunity to network with professional welders who are members of the American Welding Society.

  • CNM Bible Club

    The purpose of the CNM Bible Club is to help students better know God and His love through the study of His word in the Bible. This is a Christian campus ministry open to people of all faiths who want to better understand Christian beliefs.

  • Club Possibilities
    (Students with Disabilities)

    The purpose of this group is to advocate, mentor, and be ambassadors for students with disabilities.

  • CNM Poetry Slam

    The mission of this club is to bring performance poetry through poetry slam as a creative medium to CNM as well as promote literacy in the community through workshops, performances, and events which are to be held on campus.

  • Cosmetology Club

    This group’s main purpose is continuing education for cosmetology students and community service.

  • Culinary Competition Club

    Teaches culinary competition through education, skill improvement, and technique. The annual culmination of the club is forming a team to compete at the ACF regionals.

  • Endurance Events Club

    To compete in endurance events (running races, biathlons, triathlons and quadrathlons) that require multiple-event competition.

  • ECOS (Executive Council of Students)

    This is CNM's student government organization. Members serve on CNM decision-making committees, plan and organize an annual reception for student organizations, and help resolve student issues.

  • Endurance Events Club

    The purpose of the Endurance Events Club is to register and enter many types of endurance events (running, bicycling, swimming, skiing, biathlons, triathlons, quadrathlons, etc.) that are human powered.

  • Environmental Safety & Health Club

    To bring awareness to current and future Environmental Safety and Health students through promotion and education of environmental issues.

  • French Club

    To bring awareness to current and future Environmental Safety and Health students through promotion and education of environmental issues.

  • GED Club

    The purpose of this organization is to provide a forum for all students preparing for their GED.  Members will meet on a regular basis to exchange ideas and share educational experiences.  The GED Club will hold business meetings once a month during the academic year. Club members will be given a chance to participate in educational experiences.

  • HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)

    The purpose of HOSA is to develop leadership, technical skill competencies with motivation, awareness and recognition.

  • IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals)

    This club provides information, education, and training to students in the field of administration.

  • IBC (International Business Club)

    IBC promotes and supports primary activities of the international business institute and CNM. Primary activities are intended to increase students’ awareness of global issues and trade education.

  • Montoya Campus Student Activities Club

    The purpose of the Montoya Campus Student Activities Club is to provide quality educational, informational, and entertaining programs and events.  Our goal is to create and promote a socially aware campus environment and to build community among the students at the Montoya Campus of CNM.

  • Outdoor Adventure Club

    To gather with like minded students in a community atmosphere to go camping, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, or any other outdoor recreational activity.

  • Phi Theta Kappa

    The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.

  • Radiologic Technology Club

    The purpose of this organization is to help students in the Radiologic Technology program succeed in the program and on the job after completion of academic requirements.

  • Respiratory Club

    This club promotes respiratory therapy professionalism, community awareness, and academic excellence.

  • Shooting Club

    The mission of the this club is to provide education and instruction to all CNM students, faculty, and staff in order to give them an opportunity to be educated in firearm safety, legal issues, respect, and marksmanship.

  • SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise)

    To help students achieve their dreams through free enterprise education.

  • Skills USA - AT (Applied Technologies)

    This organization promotes leadership, networking, skill enhancement, and community service.

  • Skills USA - BIT (Business & Information Technology)

    To promote awareness of Skills USA, the opportunities, events, and participation requirements. Also to offer teamwork and fellowship among students and CNM.

  • Skills USA - HWPS (Health, Wellness & Public Safety)

    Skills USA HWPS assists local skills USA members in their growth and development and to promote learning and high standards.

  • SNA (Student Nurse Association)

    Contributing to nursing education and to provide high quality care. To assist in development of the whole student and professional roles. Provides a forum to discuss current interests and concerns in the field of nursing.

  • TAG (TRiO Achievement Group)

    To provide leadership development and mentorship to fellow students.

  • TOPS (The Organization of Paralegal Students)

    Advance the exchange of information and ideas concerning the law and the paralegal field.

  • Tourism Club

    This organization strengthens students’ interest in the tourism industry by promoting study in the field of tourism, meeting with key industry leaders, visiting local tourist attractions, and joining professional tourism organizations.

  • Vegetarian/Vegan Club

    To gather together as a student based community to share in food (recipes, potlucks, nutrition concerns, etc.). Enjoy outings surrounding healthy living, and share in related activities (speakers, movies, etc.).

  • CNM VTC (Veterinary Technology Club)

    The mission is to promote professionalism, pride, responsibility, and interest in the field of veterinary technology.

  • Young Democrats

    To raise overall awareness of politics at CNM, and provide insight to the student body regarding the Democratic Party ideals and agendas.
