Guest ID Information

To prevent unauthorized individuals from having unrestricted access to CNM’s computer networks and to ensure compliance with the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), all CNM guests will be required to obtain a guest account and identification card to use computers beginning May 19, 2008.

Who is eligible for a Guest ID:
Any community member 18 years or older.
What do I need to get a Guest ID:
You MUST HAVE a valid Driver’s License.
What is the cost for a Guest ID:
The cost is $5.00 which you pay at the Cashiers Office located in the Student Services Building 1st Floor.
Who is eligible for a free Guest ID:
Any UNM Student, Faculty or Staff member with proof of a valid UNM ID.
Any APS Faculty with proof of a valid APS ID.
How do I obtain a Guest ID:
  1. Guests can obtain a guest access ID for $5. The guest ID cards can be obtained at all campuses except Workforce Training Center. Contact the Student Activities Office at (505) 224-3238 for individual Office hours and Guest ID criteria.
  2. Guests who are lecturing, teaching a class or attending a conference and need temporary access. The sponsoring school or department may request a guest pass – free of charge – which is valid for the duration of the event. For more information, call the ITS Support Center at (505) 224-4357 or e-mail servicedesk@cnm.edu. *In this situation, there may not be a fee and no ID card will be generally issued.
