ID Card Frequently Asked Questions
When should I get my student ID card?
Once you have a current class schedule or a class schedule for the upcoming term (e.g. if you have a Fall class schedule already now in early August, you may get your ID card.).
What do I need as a student to get an ID?
You must be currently attending classes at one of CNM's campuses.
A current governmental issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, identification card).
Is there any charge for an ID card?
There is no charge if it is your first ID card. If you have had a previous TVI or CNM ID card, you can trade it in for your new CNM ID card. If you have lost your old ID card, check with us first; if the ID card was made less than three years ago, you will probably have to pay $10.00 (depending the occurrence) to the CNM Cashier's Office and give the receipt to the CNM Student Activities Office to receive a new ID card.
What if I lose my ID card?
To replace it, you will need to pay $10.00 (depending the occurrence) to the Cashier's Office and bring the receipt to a CNM Student Activities Office for a new ID to be made for you.
Do I have to trade my TVI ID card for a new CNM ID card?
Yes, all students, faculty, and staff are required to have a CNM ID card. Individuals still carrying a TVI ID card should bring it to a CNM Student Activities Office and exchange it for a CNM ID at no charge.
