Guest ID Information
To prevent unauthorized individuals from having unrestricted access to CNM’s computer networks and to ensure compliance with the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), all CNM guests are required to obtain a guest account and identification card to use computers.
Who is eligible for a Guest ID:
Any community member that is 18 years of age or older.
How long is the Guest ID valid?
The Guest ID will be valid for the semester that it was issued in. At the end of the semester, you may return to obtain another Guest ID after the renewal fee of $15.00 is paid.
What do I need to get a Guest ID?
You must provide a government issued (Federal/state) photo ID indicating legal name, date of birth, and signature. Examples: State issued driver’s license or ID card.
What is the cost for a Guest ID?
The cost is $15.00 which you pay at the Cashiers Office located in the Student Services Building 1st Floor at Main Campus & in the K Building, room K-103, for Montoya Campus. You will need to go to the ID Office to obtain a form prior to going to the Cashiers Office for payment
Who is eligible for a free Guest ID?
Any UNM Student, Faculty or Staff member with proof of a valid UNM ID.
Any APS & RRPS Faculty with proof of a valid APS ID.
How to obtain a Guest ID:
- Guests can obtain a guest access ID for $15.00. There is a $15.00 renewal fee for each semester and the following replacement fees will apply if the original Guest ID is lost: 1st Replacement $15.00; 2nd Replacement $25.00.
- The guest ID cards can be obtained at all campuses except Workforce Training Center. Contact the Student Activities & ID Office at (505) 224-4647 for individual Campus ID Office hours and Guest ID criteria. For hours of operation, please click here .
- Guests who are lecturing, teaching a class or attending a conference and need temporary access. The sponsoring school or department may request a guest pass – free of charge – which is valid for the duration of the event.
