AQIP Quality Checkup Site Visit

The Higher Learning Commission’s Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) conducts Quality Checkup Site Visits during the fifth or sixth year in every seven-year cycle of AQIP participation.    Site visits conducted by trained, experienced AQIP Reviewers provide CNM with recommendations and unique insights as part of the Systems Appraisal.  The site visit culminates with written feedback, by the Reviewers, in the form of a Quality Checkup Report.   This report focuses on the strength and momentum of the College's commitment to AQIP and continuous improvement.   Suggestions are made as to how CNM might strengthen that ongoing commitment. As noted in the recent Quality Checkup Report, CNM's Systems Portfolio indicates that processes and systems are firmly in place.

The goals of the AQIP Quality Checkup Site Visit are as follows:

  1. Affirming the accuracy of the organization’s online Systems Portfolio and verifying information included in the portfolio;
  2. Reviewing with organizational leaders Action Projects and strategies identified to capitalize on the strengths and opportunities for improvement;
  3. Assuring continuing organization quality improvement commitment;
  4. Confirming the institution’s compliance with accreditation expectations and counsel the institution concerning any issue that requires immediate attention;
  5. Reviewing and updating the relationship between the institution and the Higher Learning Commission.
