The mission of the Facilities and Planning Department is to coordinate resources available with the needs of Central New Mexico Community College. This mission shall be accomplished by:

  • Assessing needs and gathering data

  • Analyzing and synthesizing information

  • Developing designs and strategies

  • Budgeting

The Facilities Division is an integral entity of the Physical Plant Department. The PPD Facilities Division oversees and manages a multitude of projects of varying size. The professional staff is responsible for providing design and planning, project cost estimating, construction documents and project management for remodeling and renovation of campus facilities. Depending on the size and scope of the project, the Facilities Department may hire outside Architectural/Engineering Consultants or have in-house staff perform the various phases.  The Facilities and Planning department also consists of an experienced renovation team, which will perform work for minor renovations, alterations and miscellaneous work requested by the staff and faculty of CNM.

The Facilities and Planning Department is responsible for the following activities:

  • Planning Space

  • Space Utilization

  • Design

  • Small Projects Renovations/Construction

  • Minor Electrical

  • Capital Projects Signage – Interior and Exterior
