Members



CNM's Governing Board consists of seven members elected to four-year terms from districts within the overall College district (196 kb), which includes Bernalillo County plus Corrales and  Rio Rancho in Sandoval County. 

Current members and their districts are:

District 1 -- Robert P. Matteucci, Chair, 268-8678

Robert Matteucci is the longest-serving member of the Board. He became a member in 1986 and has served several terms as Board chair. A longtime retail businessman, he is now a self-employed consultant.

District 2 -- Dr. John Mondragon, Secretary, 292-7568, jbmondra@unm.edu

Dr. John Mondragon is an education consultant, part-time professor at New Mexico Highlands University and Professor Emeritus at UNM.  He also taught English-as-a-Second-Language classes at CNM in the 1970s.

Deborah "Debbi" Moore, a first-term Board member, has been the president of the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce since 2002. She is also a member of the New Mexico Small Business Development Center Advisory Board, the Sandoval County Juvenile Justice Board and the Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance.

District 4 -- Carmie Lynn Toulouse, 266-0881
Carmie Lynn Toulouse, elected to the Board in 1999, is retired from the New Mexico Human Services Department, where she was a bureau chief.

District 5 -- Blair L. Kaufman, 256-1444, kaufman@aps.edu

Blair Kaufman, a career educator, is principal of Sandia Base Elementary School. He was elected to the Board in 1995. A hot-air balloon pilot, he regularly flies the CNM banner.

Penny Holbrook is the retired director of Community Corrections Inc., a contract agency that assisted people reintegrating into the community from prison. She became a Board member in 1999.

District 7 -- Michael DeWitte, 284-5201

Michael DeWitte, a first-term Board member, is employed as a senior manager/engineer for Sandia National Laboratories. He currently serves as chairman of the New Mexico Business Roundtable for Educational Excellence, the APS Community Capital Advisory Commission and the Economic Forum Board. He's also the vice chairman of the Board of Trustees for Presbyterian Central New Mexico (Hospitals and Medical Group).
