CNM's Governing Board consists of seven members elected to four-year terms from districts within the overall College district Click here to get the PDF Viewer! (785 kb), which includes Bernalillo County plus Corrales and  Rio Rancho in Sandoval County. 

Current members and their districts are:

District 1 -- Robert P. Matteucci, 268-8678

Robert Matteucci is the longest-serving member of the Board. He became a member in 1986 and has served several terms as Board chair. A longtime retail businessman, he is now a self-employed consultant.

District 2 -- Dr. John Mondragon, 292-7568, jbmondra@unm.edu

Dr. John Mondragon is an education consultant, part-time professor at New Mexico Highlands University and Professor Emeritus at UNM.  He also taught English-as-a-Second-Language classes at CNM in the 1970s.

Jeff Armijo is a local business owner and an armed forces veteran. He was elected to the Board in 2003.

District 4 -- Carmie Lynn Toulouse, Secretary, 266-0881
Carmie Lynn Toulouse, elected to the Board in 1999, is retired from the New Mexico Human Services Dept. where she was a bureau chief.

District 5 -- Blair L. Kaufman, Vice Chair, 256-1444, kaufman@aps.edu

Blair Kaufman, a career educator, is principal of Chaparral Elementary School. He was elected to the Board in 1995. A hot-air balloon pilot, he regularly flies the CNM banner.

District 6 -- Penelope S. Holbrook, 898-4599, holbrook@highfiber.com
Penny Holbrook is the retired director of Community Corrections Inc., a contract agency that assisted people reintegrating into the community from prison. She became a Board member in 1999.

District 7 -- Richard Barr, Chair, 294-6635

Richard Barr was elected to the Governing Board in 1997 after having been active on the CNM Foundation Board. He is executive vice president of Wagner Equipment and the retired president of Presbyterian Healthcare Services.
